Meet My Sweet Girl Olive! Need Recommendations for Her Post-Spay Recovery
Hey everyone! I’d love some advice and personal experiences from fellow pet owners. My little girl, Olive (a quirky corgi!), has her spay appointment in a couple of weeks, and I’m looking for the best donut or inflatable collars and surgery recovery suits. I’ve heard these are great alternatives to the traditional cone, especially for pups like Olive with their unique corgi body shapes. I want to make sure she’s as comfortable as possible during her recovery, while also keeping her incision safe!
I've seen so many different options out there, but I know corgis can be a bit tricky when it comes to finding things that fit their long bodies and short legs. That’s why I’d love to hear your recommendations on collars or recovery suits that have worked well for your dogs. Whether it's a collar that didn’t irritate their neck or a suit that was easy to put on and take off, I’m all ears!
Why I'm Looking for Advice A quick note—though I do work at a vet clinic and we offer general recommendations, I’d really like to hear from pet parents who’ve gone through this with their own pups. I've seen (and heard) too many horror stories of animals managing to get at their spay incisions when left unattended, and I definitely don’t trust Olive to resist temptation! That’s why I’m willing to invest in a cone, donut, or suit that will make her recovery as stress-free and safe as possible.
